Yes, We are in the midst of the FLU season! A message from the school nurse
Greetings Parents of Sherman School Students!
Yes, We are in the midst of the FLU season! Many of our students are experiencing sinus congestion, sore throats, coughing, headaches and upset stomachs. A few students have been running temperatures.
I thought it might be helpful to pass on some basic information to help you deal with the illness at home.
The most important advice is DRINK WATER…Wash Hands…Use Tissue to cover cough and sneezes. Blow your nose and Cough out phlegm!!!! WASH HANDS AND DRINK WATER….and did I say….DRINK WATER AND WASH HANDS!!!!!
Also, clean off surfaces that may have droplet contamination from sneezes and coughing to help prevent spread.
Call the Dr. for a temperature above 101 that does not respond to medication after 3 days and/or phlegm that is green in color.
